Legal
Clipfeed is operated by After Video, Inc., a New York corporation with its principal place of business in Astoria, Queens, New York ("we," "us," "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Clipfeed mobile application on iOS and Android, the website at clipfeed.toolsfornews.com, and any related services we operate (collectively, the "Service").
By installing, accessing, or using the Service, you ("you," "user") agree to these Terms and to our End User License Agreement. If you don't agree, don't install or use the app.
Clipfeed is a mobile application that reframes video for vertical (9:16), square (1:1), or horizontal (16:9) aspect ratios, with optional subject tracking, color grading, and enhancement. All video processing happens on your device. We do not upload your videos to any server, do not store them, and do not transmit them to third parties.
Some features (notably "Pro" features) require an active subscription, billed through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to use the Service. If you're in the EU or UK, you must be at least 16. If you're under 18, you may use the Service only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. By using Clipfeed, you represent that you meet these requirements.
You retain all rights to the videos you process and to the clips you export using Clipfeed. We claim no ownership of your content, no license to use it, and no right to redistribute it. Because your videos never reach our servers, we have nothing to claim ownership of.
You are solely responsible for the videos you process and the clips you publish. By using Clipfeed, you represent and warrant that:
You agree not to use Clipfeed to:
Because all video processing happens on your device, we have no technical ability to monitor, screen, or moderate the content you produce. This makes your responsibility for what you create and publish especially important.
Clipfeed offers a free tier with core features and a paid Pro subscription that unlocks additional features. Pro subscriptions are sold and billed through:
By subscribing, you authorize Apple or Google to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. The subscription auto-renews at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal.
Current pricing is shown in the app and on the App Store / Google Play listings. Prices may vary by region. Apple and Google may convert pricing into your local currency at their then-current rates.
You can cancel your subscription at any time:
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain Pro access until then.
Refunds for subscriptions are handled by Apple or Google according to their refund policies. We have no direct control over refunds for App Store or Google Play purchases. Where required by consumer protection law (e.g., EU 14-day withdrawal for new subscriptions where no substantial use has occurred), Apple and Google honor those rights through their refund process.
For other refund-related concerns, contact info@toolsfornews.com and we'll do our best to assist within the limits of the applicable store's policies.
The free tier of Clipfeed does not require a subscription and remains available without payment. We may change which features are included in the free tier and which require Pro, with reasonable notice.
The Clipfeed name, logo, app design, codebase, user interface, and documentation are the intellectual property of After Video, Inc. The licensing of the app to you is governed by the End User License Agreement.
When you use Clipfeed to create a clip, you own the clip. We grant you a perpetual, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use the output for any lawful purpose.
Use of the Clipfeed app is also subject to the terms of the platform from which you installed it:
Where there is a conflict between these Terms and the platform's terms, the platform's terms control to the extent required by the platform.
Clipfeed produces clips intended for publishing on third-party platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, X, Facebook, etc.). Those platforms' names, logos, and trademarks belong to their respective owners. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of these platforms.
Your use of clips on third-party platforms is subject to those platforms' terms of service and community guidelines.
Our Privacy Policy explains the limited data we collect and how we use it. By using the Service, you agree to our Privacy Policy.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device, OS version, or video file. Mobile video processing is computationally intensive; performance depends on your device's hardware. Some files may fail to process. Long videos may exceed your device's memory limits. We make no guarantee of successful processing for any specific input.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or statutory consumer rights in your jurisdiction.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event shall After Video, Inc., its directors, officers, employees, affiliates, or licensors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service — including damages for lost profits, lost data, lost video files, or reputational harm — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us (via Apple or Google) in the twelve months preceding the claim, or US $100, whichever is greater.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless After Video, Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your use of the Service; (b) the videos you process or clips you publish; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any rights of a third party.
You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the app and (if applicable) cancelling your subscription. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service immediately if we reasonably believe you are misusing it, violating these Terms, or creating a risk of legal liability for us or other users.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, Governing Law) will survive.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we'll update the "Effective" date at the top of this page and, where reasonable, notify users in-app. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there. EU consumers retain any mandatory rights of their local jurisdiction.
