Privacy Policy

Effective May 05, 2026 · Clipfeed is an app by After Video, Inc.

The short version Clipfeed processes your videos entirely on your device — they never reach our servers, and we never see them. Your account data, subscription status, and basic technical information go through Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store), not us. We don't sell or share your data with advertisers.

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy applies to Clipfeed, a mobile application for iOS and Android, and to the website clipfeed.toolsfornews.com, operated by After Video, Inc., a New York corporation located in Astoria, Queens, New York, USA ("we," "us," "our").

For privacy questions, contact us at info@toolsfornews.com.

2. How Clipfeed works (and why this matters for privacy)

Clipfeed is a video-reframing app. You import a video, mark a clip, choose an aspect ratio, and export. All video processing happens on your device. Your video files are not uploaded to any server, are not shared with third parties, and are not analyzed by us.

This means:

Some app functionality requires limited data exchange — subscription billing, app analytics, device permissions. The sections below describe each in detail.

3. What the app accesses on your device

Clipfeed asks for permission only for what it needs to function:

PermissionWhyWhen asked
Photos library To import source video and save exported clips The first time you import or export a video
Files / Documents To import from iCloud Drive, Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, or local Files The first time you tap "Files, iCloud & Drive"
Camera (if applicable) Reserved for a future feature; not currently used Not currently requested

You can revoke these permissions at any time in iOS Settings → Clipfeed, or Android Settings → Apps → Clipfeed → Permissions. Revoking permissions may prevent some features from working.

4. What data we collect

We collect the minimum needed to operate the app and your subscription.

CategoryWhat it isWhy
Subscription state Whether you have an active Pro subscription, and through which store (Apple or Google) To unlock Pro features in the app
App diagnostics Anonymous crash reports and performance data, when you've opted in via your device's diagnostic settings To find and fix bugs
Device type Device model and OS version reported with crash logs only To diagnose device-specific issues
Support Any emails you send us and your responses To respond to your questions

What we explicitly do NOT collect

5. Subscription billing

Clipfeed Pro subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple (App Store) on iOS and by Google (Google Play) on Android. We do not see your credit card number, billing address, or full name.

What we receive from Apple or Google is a receipt token we use to verify whether your subscription is active. Apple's and Google's privacy practices apply to the billing data they hold:

To cancel a subscription: on iOS go to Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Clipfeed; on Android go to Google Play → Subscriptions → Clipfeed. Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google according to their refund policies.

6. Legal basis (GDPR)

If you're in the EU, UK, or a region with GDPR-equivalent rules, we process your data based on:

7. App Store / Play Store data sharing disclosures

Apple and Google require us to disclose data practices in their store listings. The disclosures we provide there match this Privacy Policy. If you ever notice a discrepancy between the store listing and this page, please email info@toolsfornews.com and we will investigate and correct it.

In summary:

8. Third-party services

The app and website rely on a small number of services to operate:

None of these services receive your video content. The app does not embed third-party advertising SDKs.

9. International data transfers

The limited data we hold (support emails, server logs) may be processed in the United States. Apple and Google process subscription data in their global infrastructure. Standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions apply where required.

10. How long we keep data

11. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict our processing of your personal data, and to data portability or to object to processing.

To exercise any rights, email info@toolsfornews.com. We'll respond within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (EU) or the California Privacy Protection Agency (California).

12. Children's privacy

Clipfeed is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/UK). The app's age rating in the App Store and Google Play reflects this. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact info@toolsfornews.com and we will delete it.

13. Security

The website is served over HTTPS. The app uses standard platform security (sandboxing, secure storage of subscription receipts on the device's secure enclave where available). Because we do not maintain a database of user content, the surface area for breaches is intentionally small.

No system is perfectly secure. If you become aware of a security issue, please contact us at info@toolsfornews.com.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will update the "Effective" date at the top of this page and, where reasonable and practical, notify users in-app or by email.

15. California residents (CCPA)

If you're a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), including the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as defined under California law. To exercise your rights, email info@toolsfornews.com.
